MTERA is proud to announce that yesterday, November 16th 2021, we welcomed a new Member Tribe into the organization; Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Kathie Brosemer, who many of our Board Members will already recognize, has been appointed by the Sault Tribe’s Council to sit on our Board as an official voting member.
Kathie has worked for Sault Tribe as their Environmental Program Manager since 2010 and is currently working on a PhD at Michigan Technological University in Environmental and Energy Policy. We’re so glad to have her expertise on the Board and we look forward to working with her and assisting the Sault Tribe in their energy journey in any way we can!
With the addition of Sault Tribe, we now have 14 voting Member Tribes including: Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Forest County Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk Nation, Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, St. Croix Chippewa Indians, Stockbridge Munsee Community, and the White Earth Nation.
Welcome, Sault Tribe and Kathie!
