The MTERA team continues to grow during this exciting time in the world’s clean energy transition, and the Prairie Island Indian Community (PIIC) becomes our 21st MTERA Member Tribe. PIIC is located on the shores of the Mississippi and Vermillion Rivers, just north of Red Wing in southeastern Minnesota’s Goodhue County. They are commonly referred to as the Minnesota Sioux and their members descend from the Bdewakantunwan (Mdewakanton) Band of Eastern Dakota.
