The Indian Country Energy and Infrastructure Working Group (ICEIWG) is seeking input to guide COVID-19 policy, programs, and relief funding directions under consideration by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its Office of Indian Energy. The working group, established in 2011, is composed of tribal leaders who help guide policy and program prioritization and long-term strategy related to energy and infrastructure development on tribal lands.
The purpose of the survey is to understand current COVID-19-related tribal energy challenges, gaps, and existing capacities. Tribes’ updated and timely input will guide actions and policies DOE and/or the Office of Indian Energy may implement with the administration, including directing COVID-19 relief funding, technical assistance, and/or other resources.
Please offer ideas and guidance by Wednesday, July 22, including legislative language as applicable, by completing this COVID-19 Tribal Energy Survey using this link.
